The three days (25th to 27th March 2016) Sports, Literary and Cultural Meet 2016 entitled as “Yaosang Kumhei” organized by the All Assam Manipuri Students’ Union, Hojai District Committee (AAMSU,HDC) has concluded yesterday with the Prize Distribution Ceremony followed by the Thabal Chongbi Competiton held at Gauranagar Young Sporting Club.
15 club of Hojai district has participated in the event. Apart from the many exciting sports events during these three days, event like Holi Competition, folk dance competition, Manipuri Traditional Costume Competition and the Thabal Chongbi Competition were the main attraction of the event.

Dr. Ardhendu Kr. Dey, MLA, Hojai was the Chief Guest of the Closing Ceremony and the many others dignitaries like, Dr. K. Ibunghal, Newly Elected President of MSPA, Yk. Dhiren Singh, General Secretary of United Club, Manipur (UCM), Sarangthem Manjit, and General Secretary of All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) etc. attended the function as the guest of honour.
Yk. Dhiren and Sarangthem Manjit, Genearal Secretaries of UCM and AMSU respectively who attended the closing ceremony as guest of honour assured to the Manipuri youths of the state of Assam who are interested to built career in sports that the AMSU and UCM will always help to those who want to get training in sports from Manipur so that the Manipuri youths of the state of Assam would able to built career in sports too.
They also mentioned about the prevalent of Sports’ Institution in Manipur where one can get the training properly in sports and physical education.
