WHY MEN DON'T LISTEN & WOMEN CAN'T READ MAP is a fun filled, joyful and eye opening book. It is a book that is bold, assertive, factual and based on scientific research. Though politically incorrect but what the book comments is scientifically and socially correct. Written by Allan & Barbara Pease. They are husband and wife. Allan Pease is originally a musician. Later, he became an expert in the art of communication and body language. They have co-authored many wonderful books like BODY LANGUAGE OF LOVE, BODY LANGUAGE IN WORKPLACE, EASY, PEASEY: PEOPLE SKILLS FOR LIFE, etc.

WHY MEN DON'T LISTEN & WOMEN CAN'T READ MAP uses biology and evolutionary psychology to explain the differences between male and female cultures. It will help a man and woman to understand the differences between them, how to cope with these dissimilarities and help them lead a happy life. It belong to the genre of self help books (especially for couples).

The book begins with an introduction in which a husband and wife are driving happily. But suddenly due to miscommunication between them it soon lead to discord. This introduction also gives us a glimpse of how this book is written. The seminars, the difficulties the authors has suffered to get the fact, the journey that they have undertaken to get the information have been detailed. However, they are path breaking or bold in their effort. The book is interesting as well as entertaining with every chapter giving us useful as well as funny information. Let us see in brief the contents of the book.

Same Species, Different World is the title of the first chapter of this book. It sets the tone of this book. It tells the reasons why men have acted the way they do. It states that man and woman are diferent not better or worse but different. It takes us into bygone era our forefather era to explain the reason why man and woman have acted the way they do. Chapter 2 deals with women intuition. What are the stuffs or the causes that gives the women the power of intuition. The differences between a baby boy and a baby girl, Why boy don't listen are also tersely describe in this chapter.

Chapter 3 lays down the different research undertaken in the the area of brain. How reasearches in brain begins and what are things that have been revealed by these researches. New and interesting things are contain in this chapter. Man can do one thing at a time, women can multi tasks, how this difference lead to conflicts between them and what to do about it discussed have in this chapter. It also contain a test to see whether you are a man and woman brain.

Chapter 4 is an important chapter of this book. It discusses the reasons why women are great talkers, how man and woman think, the downside of the way the man and woman think. It also suggest a way to get a man to listen. You will laugh as you find many life like and funny incidents that have been described in this book. Chapter 4 lays the cause for man loving sports and why they don't ask for direction. It highlight why woman should never be ask to read map and how to give directions to woman.

It is a book written to help us understand the differences between a man and a woman. What to do about these difference and how to live cooperatively despite the diiferences. It lays many strategies to overcome the differences. Moreover , it is written in such a way that you will enjoy it. So, it is a book for those couples who wants to improves their relation as well as for those who are enjoying their times together.
