Violence against North East students? Are we becoming racists?
punjabnewsline.com | Tajinder Singh | May 2, 2012 - 17:15, Chandigarh
They constitute 7 states of India, they are called 7 sisters, they are elusive North East of Indian state. But why are they so elusive. But why are they so elusive? Why don’t we not know much about them? Because we are never told anything about them. Go through the syllabus of history and you will not find any significant reference of North East. We say that we live in United India but we call them “Chinkay” or “Nepali” at best.
A professor on Times Now channel claimed that the students who are raising blames of racism and ethnic stereotyping is nothing more than A Cottage Industry of Victimhood.
Can somebody be more pathetic than this?
So what it is all about that we all Indians are shamelessly witnessing? When North Indians are beaten or killed in Australia then the North dominated media go wailing 24X7 to call for justice. And when North Eastern students show solidarity towards their fellows we call it CHINKEY HOOLIGANISM.
