C-DAC is a premier R&D society of the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Applications are invited for the following posts on consolidated salary and on contract basis against projects to support its R & D related work in the area of Language Technology, Machine Translation, Software Engineering etc. The tenure of appointment for these positions is initially for a period of 3 years:

1) Linguist (Position Code : 01/LG/11)

· Qualifications & Experience:
i) 1st class Postgraduate degree in Linguistics/ Applied Linguistics
ii) Knowledge of Oriya language essential.
iii) 1 year of experience of research/ training in computational linguistics or
Natural Language Processing in Indian Languages.
· Age: Below 30 years as on 31.12.2011
· Consolidated Salary: Ranging from Rs. 22,500/- to Rs. 25,000/- p.m. Salary shall be
fixed taking into consideration qualifications and experience.

2) Project Engineer(Position Code : 02/PE/11)


· Qualification: i) Must have 1st Class in B.E./B.Tech in Relevant Discipline*/1st class MCA or equivalent.
OR
ii) Must have Post-graduation in Engineering/Technology in Relevant Discipline *.
OR
iii) Must have 1st Class in Post-graduate degree in Relevant Discipline *.
OR
iv) Engineering Degree in any stream with additional qualification of FPGDST/APGDST/ PGDST /DAC of CDAC.
(* Relevant Discipline: IT / Computer Science / Electronics / Telecommunication /Electrical / Instrumentation)
· Age: Below 30 years as on 31.12.2011
· Consolidated Salary: Rs. 22,500/- p.m.

3) Project Engineer( Position Code : 03/PEL/11)

· Qualifications, Experience & Age:
· i) Same as Project Engineer Position Code : 02/PE/11
ii) Additionally, knowledge of Oriya /Marathi language preferred.
ii) Research background in Speech and Language processing.
· Consolidated Salary: Ranging from Rs. 22,500/- to Rs. 25,000/- p.m. Salary shall be fixed taking into consideration qualifications and experience.

4) Multimedia Programmer (Position Code : 04/MP/11)

· Qualifications:
i) Must be Bachelor of Engineering / Technology in any discipline. OR
Must be a Graduate in Relevant Discipline* with a First Class and additional qualification of PGDST/ FPGDST/APGDST/DAC of CDAC.
ii) Diploma in Advanced Computer Arts (DACA) course conducted by ACTS, C-DAC.
(* Relevant Discipline: IT / Computer Science / Electronics / Telecommunication / Electrical / Instrumentation)
· Age: Below 30 years as on 31.12.2011
· Consolidated Salary: Rs. 15,600/- p.m.

5) Trainer (Position Code : 05/CT/11)

· Qualifications & Experience:
i) Must have 1st Class in Post-graduate degree in Relevant Discipline *.
ii) 2 years experience of teaching at Post- graduation level, preferably using IT and e-Learning tools.
iii) Knowledge of Open Source Tools preferred.
(* Relevant Discipline: IT / Computer Science / Electronics / Telecommunication / Electrical / Instrumentation/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics)
· Age: Below 30 years as on 31.12.2011
· Consolidated Salary: Ranging from Rs. 23,625/- to Rs. 25,000/- p.m. Salary shall be fixed taking into consideration qualifications and experience.
