UNC Statement on 16th Lok Sabha Election
Tahamzam, 11th March, 2014
The Presidential Council of the United Naga Council held on 11th March 2014 reaffirmed the following positions resolved in the Joint Meeting of Representatives of political parties, the UNC, Tribe Presidents, Presidents of Regional and Frontal Organisations held at Tahamzam on the 15th December, 2011 -
a) Any political party or individual(s), who either in speech, written statement, visual display or in action, opposing the established and registered position of the Nagas will be deemed to be anti-Naga.
b) The policies, programmes and activities of any political party which does not subscribe to the established position of the Nagas will not qualify for the support of the Naga people in any manner whatsoever.
The Naga people are therefore informed that the above position will have to be adhered to in letter and spirit in the 16th Lok Sabha Election.
