Two railway workers kidnapped in Manipur

While whereabouts of a supervisor of a company engaged in the construction of railway line in Manipur remained untraceable, another employee of a company engaged in the same work has been whisked away by a militant group in Manipur, official report said Sunday.
The report said that a mess supervisor of the M/s Coastal Projects Limited identified as Samuruddin (40), a resident of Assam’s Nutan Ramnagar has been kidnapped by suspected cadres of a hill based militant group on the night of April 24. Both the kidnapping cases were allegedly related with monetary demands from the companies engaged in the construction of Jiribam-Tupul railway line in Tamenglong district.
