Training on Mithun farming technologies

National Research Centre on Mithun is a pioneer institute involved in developing the technologies for scientific Mithun farming. The institute has implemented different technologies in selected villages and has found them to worthy for large scale dissemination.
On November 16, an interface was organized which was attended by Dr. H. Tabin, Director, Dept. of Vety. and AH, Arunachal Pradesh, Dr. Thepfula O Linyu, Director, Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Govt. of Nagaland, Dr. Kevi Chakhesang, MD, Livestock development Board, Government of Nagaland, Dr. Pudaite, Deputy Director, Dept. of Vety and AH, Govt of Mizoram and all the trainees.
Dr. C. Rajkhowa, Director, NRC on Mithun, presided the meeting and welcomed the gathering. He briefed about the activities of NRC on Mithun and expressed the need for carrying out joint activities by state governments of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland and KVKs of these states. He urged KVKs to link up their programme with state govt. and form a network to expand activities for the betterment of the farmers.
