0 The only music festival in India which unites a powerhouse of the Indian Music Industry – Shankar Mahadevan as its ambassador with one of the most popular festivals in the country’s calendar today.
0 The third edition of the festival will pave the path for singing talent from across the world and give them a platform to showcase their skills to the biggest musicians with Voice of Storm 2014 - talent accreditation program by Storm Festival in association with Shankar Mahadevan Academy the winners will perform at Chasing Storm (series of pre-gigs) events and Storm festival.
0 Storm 2014 will be held at an even bigger, greener and a more accessible location just at the comfortable outskirts of Bangalore - Gonighattapura village, Sarjapura hobli, Karnataka, India.

India’s most authentic camp-out music festival is brewing full steam and now the excitement will last for 3 nights and 2 days of festivity. Storm festival - that recently announced Shankar Mahadevan as its ambassador- will take place on January 31st, February 1st and 2nd, 2014 at Stormfields, Gonighattapura village, Sarjapura Hobli, Karnataka. Assam’s very illustrious son, Papon with his band, East India Company and the renowned Naga all-girls folk band, Tetseo Sisters are all set take the rich cultural heritage of the north-eastern region to an international platform. They will share the stage with various stalwarts of the music industry including Shankar Mahadevan, Leslie Lewis, Raghu Dixit and many other performers from across the nation world.

The Storm festival- is the first-of-its-kind Camp Out Music festival - that redefined the very concept of a 'destination festival' with its debut in 2012. The festival set a benchmark with its tight programming, high standards of production and successfully managed elaborate camping arrangements. This year the festival will feature 5 stages and over 45 artistes from across the world.

Storm is among the only few festivals across the world to unite a powerhouse of the Music Industry with a music festival and is one of the most popular spectacle in the country’s music calendar today. Apart from Mahadevan’s name and him being the face of the festival, he will play an active role in identifying hidden musical gems from across the country and the world.

Shankar Mahadevan on the association: I was surprised to learn that India has a festival where music lovers can camp-out amidst tight security, there’s a strong check on drug abuse and everything is organised to the T. The experience is so energising that you want to come back to the festival every year. I’m happy to be a part of this beautiful festival, which is truly a musician’s paradise with great talent from India and across the world.

Lavin Uthappa, Festival Director, Storm Festival (Managing Director Liquidspace Entertainment Pvt. Ltd): "Storm 3rd edition in 2014 will be replete with surprises and additions. We’re honoured to have Shankar Mahadevan on board to share his time and wisdom with us to make the festival larger and more vivacious in its entirety. So musically and experientially Storm 2014 will have a lot more to say; while keeping the initial vision of the festival intact- i.e., bringing the best of mainstream entertainment to beautiful natural environs for an unforgettable camping and destination music festival experience.”

About Storm Festival: The festival in its first year- 2012, had 2 vivacious stages with over 40 top rated national/ international artistes’ in 2013 it grew to 3 stages and a well executed camp out arrangement (for editions), along with a fresh destination for the festival. The Storm Festival today is rated as one of the biggest national music festivals/ events with a special theme, and has attracted music lovers from across India and the world.

Storm is the brainchild of two proud Coorgs (Kodavas), who wanted to pay a fitting tribute to their homeland, bringing it to the notice of the national and International audiences as well as the music industry. It was the fervent desire of Festival Directors N.A. Lavin Uthappa and N.A. Sachin Bopanna to create a destination based musical experience that brought together the natural beauty with their passion for good music. Stormfields, Coorg, still lie at the heart of Storm Festival.

The festival aims at spreading social awareness messages like - love and respect for the environment, minimizing usage of plastic as well as discouraging consumption of drugs, through renowned musicians via the medium of music. With the idea to respect culture and natural environments, special steps have been taken to save energy and make the festival eco-friendly. The festival not only spreads the message of environmental protection, but practises it as well. Apart from a large line-up of artistes of great repute, the festival also has many activities to be enjoyed. Adventure, camping and breathtaking decor are some of the main features of the festival.
