Too many fests in November spoil tourism broth
The Telegraph | November 2, 2011:
Too many festivals have crowded Meghalaya’s fall calendar.
Besides the clutter, utter lack of coordination between organisers of the various festivals strewn over the next fortnight in Shillong is sure to leave tourists a tad confused.
Here’s the line-up: A three-day Autumn Festival from November 4 to 6 in Shillong and Umiam, the Annual Nongkrem Dance Festival on November 7 and 8 at Smit on the outskirts of Shillong, Wine Festival on November 11 to 12 in Shillong and the 100 drums Wangala Festival in West Garo Hills from November 10 to 12.
