The scourge of disguised land
Biju Thounaojam *
Our land they oft say.
So we walked as one,
whilst seen as none.
Sigh! Tickles, as 'one' to say.
Our brothers
Strangled as to intruders.
Our sisters
Mere objects to straggly desire.
Bewilder'd, where we stand.
Bewilder'd, where we lay.
Ours so they always say.
Why blindfolds and chains then?
Your justice, we lost hope on,
Untime and denial.
Your judgement, we fear upon,
Eerie and cold serials.
It is not far-long
When we shall walk again,
No stumbles and chains.
Mourned too long, long!
Your stings that deep-sored
Shall we endure no more!
The Scourge of land in disguise
Be ceased or awaited revolt is nigh!
Remember, whence you come;
Whence do we too come.
