The Visitor
K. Radhakumar *
No doorbell announced the arrival of the visitor;
He just turned up one fine morning
And stayed put in the guest house
Full of visitors like him.
His vanities and frailties made him make friends
And also quarrel with other people quite often.
Admittedly, visitors often disagreed among themselves.
One day he was tipsy
And threw stones at the moon.
The other day he lay on the grass
For an eternity
And looking at the moon
He burst into a song.
For his good singing voice
A glass of beer was always on the house
And he saw the bubble
In the glass of beer with thick froth.
But the bubble bursts,
And he was accused of
Doing nothing to the end.
The alleged mistake of our friend the visitor!
Yes, the visitor with a tourist visa!
Away he went and was seen no more.
