The Stranger and I
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Radhakumar *
I saw a figure
In the shadows of the morning star;
I heard a voice
Thunderous in its silence
Above the chirping of birds.
Life never turned out
The way I had it dreamt.
But I do not regret it,
Wonderful, simply wonderful life is.
There he stood
Naked and unpolluted by
My winged thoughts
And fertile imagination.
The full force of life
Without me!
The man who subsisted in my thought
And a flesh-and-blood entity
Ah! The two have met face to face today
When the eastern horizon is speaking several languages.
What bliss!
Oh! I have lived a complete life-
Pieces of the puzzle fit together
And I am on my way to immortality.
