The Policeman
Sheryl Shimray *
Here comes another riot another crisis;
Many times you’ve been blamed,
Love by many and hate by those who detest law and order.
You serve day in and day out, Your watchful eyes watch over
In the dead and soundless night,
When everyone is in deep slumber,
When will peace return and Ney will sleep in peace.
Without hassle at the back of your mind,
I adore you for your simplicity, your strength, courage and
good will nature in spite of being so great !
Met you there at the funeral, Another corpse silently put to rest.
and Ney whisper softly, a simple word,
somehow your voice lingers on; and
somehow saw the same in your eyes;
but time is fleeting, soon we’ll became strangers,
wish the clock would stop for a moment,
before the sun sets in,
saw the concerned in your eyes to save the nation,
No matter wherever it takes you,
Your selfless service will be remembered by many,
Ye strives and toils on, in this trouble torn state.
Miles apart, no one to turn to,
Go on fulfil your duty,
And let the weather man be on our side,
But loo, the world is full of uncertainty,
As we move towards an unknown destiny.
