The Man with a Broken Heart
Magaff Ayka *
May I come forward to narrate you
Once of many a broken dreams
Of a man who once aspired for love
Who shall then never redeem
He wasn't a bad man. He wasn't
He did have a compassionate heart
He has inherent virtues which mark a noble soul
Then why must he be alone?
Still lies at heart and picturesque of those appearances
Why the divinest dalliance keeps whispering him?
In the beginning of the millennium, he won over the hand for a beauty
For the first and the last time as avowed
Lost his breath and transported to a new world
Felt he is dead to the earth and reborn in heaven
What lied ahead he refused to know
The girl who stole his mind and soul
Fascinated by her voice and beauty
Tenderest the skin even her shadow brought charm
Her gentlest voices through the phone used to be
His companion before he falls asleep
Her words used to be the sweetest words, he could ever hear
He was magnetized and mesmerized in her visage
That he completely lost in her like a drop in the ocean
Nothing was more valuable than love in the world
And his love was all for her's.
His mean events were so mysteriously familiar with her
That they sang together of breaks, of blossoms, birds and bowers
Of April, May, of June and July showers
Dusky were the nights and dark were the days
Blinded by love so that he couldn't see
That it was slowly being swayed away
Merely crashed upon his own thoughts
Unto her was he even worth?
Dreamt alone in sleepless nights
But the time was taken into dearth
That she became for someone else
The entire paradise crumbled for him
O world! O life! O Time!
She left him this world like the smells of a tomb
All glory has turned into a social scandal
His love and his soul have to adieu
Which drifted along his lovesick tears
Soon all those latter years no woman came
Like the one before who stole his heart
He has now nothing to live for in the world but the memories
The pain of those memories forget him this world
Her shadow appearance keeps him burning
Henceforth embracing this pain by bewailing the frailty of all things
And encircling him in tear of the air
She monopolizes his mind over and over again
And his heart sinks in the deepest ocean of that pain
The tears roll down his eyes everytime
And spend many sleepless nights
But his feelings couldn't even change the lane
O stars! in the whole universe
Tell her the story about his eternal love
Though his world is overflowed with sadness
He is searching a heart to share
That when the lamp is shattered
The light in the dust lies dead—
When the cloud is scattered
The rainbow's glory is shed
Calling her to come to his garden
And points to yonder sad?
Just like a raindrop falling on him
Let wind come across her
Come to him her whole scent
Dear love "S" he'll wait for you in the afterlife.
