The Living God won Humanitarian Award at International Film Festival for Peace, Inspiration and Equality

The Living God, a short documentary exploring the Ancient Meetei Civilisation, won the 'Humanitarian Award' at International Film Festival for Peace, Inspiration and Equality 2015 (IFFPIE), which was held at Jakarta, Indonesia on 21st September, 2015. It won the special award under the 'International Awards for Merit' category at the festival.
The short documentary has also been chosen for IFFPIE Most Favourite Film Competition, 2015. The competing films in this category are open to public voting online, and the voting for this category can be done on http://www.thefilmreporter.com/festivals/voting/Voting_IFFPIE_2015.htm
The Living God: Medicine and Ancient Meetei Civilisation was also conferred the Best Foreign Documentary (Short) by Los Angeles Independent Film Festival in the month of April, 2015.
The Living God reflects the comprehensive understanding of Ancient Meetei Civilisation and Ancient Meetei Medicines. It a result of the exhaustive research undertaken by Prakas Aheibam to learn and explore the indigenous culture and medicine. This 30 minute documentary explores the nuances of this civilization and takes us deep into the subject matter, looking beyond conventional knowledge of Meetei culture and civilization known to all.
