The Dawn of Darkness
K. Radhakumar *
It is a strange night;
A long, long night.
I lay sleepless…
This strange night is a bitch.
So is life.
Or rather my life.
Better I will feel
After a good night's sleep.
Now only the sleepless night blues:
I do not get a wink of sleep
I do not get
I.
No friends help me –
The moon.
The night birds.
At this rate, I will be meeting
A sickly morning
With a high blood pressure.
'First of all, a tablet of BP in the morning,'
Says my wife my alarm clock.
Our old wall clock!
It ticks away the deadly night.
Death!
I am not prepared for it.
I have not yet lived my life.
Life and death
The two are separated
And are getting divorced.
I am hopelessly caught and lost
In the swirl of this meaningless pace of life.
Some sleep, please.
Please, I need to get some sleep.
The night stands up, stretches and yawns.
What is this
No morning dawns bright and warm
After the night?
