The Beautiful and the Ugly
K. Padmakumar *
What a bright morning!
The shinning sun
Has made the world smile
And freshened the mind.
Today the market place is
Like a picture painted on a sheet of paper,
Buildings of different colours
Craned their heads to get better heights
Towards the blue sky.
Beautiful vehicles of many different hues
Are moving around, and are shinning bright
Like swallows flying in all directions.
The energetic expression of the male sex
The colourful dress of the female sex -
The road is full of people
All dressed up and decked out with smiles.
Butterflies of different colours are flying
Across mustard plants of spring.
How beautiful is Imphal city today!
Sharply reacts our grandmother
'Why blow smoke up granny's ass,
When virgins are deflowered
and nipped in the bud.'
