Books come on myraid topics shapes and sizes. Some of the books are written with an intention to entertain us, some to enlightened us and others to make our life easy.
Indeed, Francis Bacon has rightly quoted that "Some books are to be tasted, some books are to be swallowed and others to be chewed and digested". The books "The 4 Hour Workweek" belong to the categories of books that needs to be chewed and digested. It is a great work of Tim Ferris. He is an entrepreneur, anfel investors, writer and public speaker.
He is the world record holder for the most consecuttive tango-spin. He is also the writer of The 4 HOUR BODY AND THE 4 HOUR CHEF. The 4 Hour Workweek was the New York Times Bestseller. It belong to the genre of business book and self help.
The 4 Hour Workweek is written with an aim to enlightened its reader and benefit the masses who apply the principles listed in the book. It is a thesis with the ability to make people think and make them take action. You will come across many useful thought-provoking as well as relevant quote by famous personlity.
For example "The reasonable man adapts himself to thew world; the unreasonale one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable one"-G.B. Shaw, "Develop the strength to do bold things, not the strength to suffer"-N. Machiavelli. Not only wonderful quote but it is replete with new and unusual terminologies like New rich, DEAL( which is an acronyms for D for defiintion, E for elimination, A for automation and L for Liberation) .
Further, there are time tested and paradoxical advice like "Doing the unrealistic is easier than doing the realistic" "Ask for forgiveness not permission".
It is a practical book with lots of activity for the readers. There are exercises given which are noble yet eccentric. These exercises are meant to enlarge your comfort zone.
The bigger your comfort zone the more enjoyable your life will be. If you have dreams but you don't know how to get there. Then, there are pragmatic steps provided in this book to help you realize your dreams. Well if you don't have a dream you must try to dream again and try to apply the steps enumerated in this book.
If you are able to takes action on these steps then you will surely get to your dreams. It is a book written with the view to develop or sustain a business. So it is awash with business idea.
The idea on business range from developing your product to realizing your goal of having lots of free time and abundant money. Among the advices given in this bible of business two notions stand out. The two notion are how to be an expert and how to look Fortune 500 in 45 minutes. Both are bold yet very down to earth and functional idea.
If you have a business or planning to grow your business the principles listed in the books are must. Not only these, There are also many tip on how to write a crisp and concise letter, how to manage your time and how to get good grade (very useful for students and academic).
So get ready to get some wierd yet practical idea on how to realize your dreams, how to life a joyful life.
