Thadou Students joint meeting at TSO Burma Office in Tamu
The Thadou Students’ Association, General Headquarters (TSA-GHQ), India, The Thadou Students’ Organization, Burma (TSO-B) and the Thadou Chin Literature & Culture Committee, Burma (TCL&CC-B) had a joint meeting at TSO Burma Office in Tamu on the 15th January, 2016 (Friday).
The Meeting was held in the august presence of Pu Thongkhomang Haokip, Hon’ble MLA, 1-Tonjang, A/c, Chin State; Pu Thangkhohau Haokip, Hon’ble MLA, Lower 2-Tamu A/c, Burma and Rev. Dr. Khupthang Chongloi, Leader, Thadou Community in Burma with the focal theme of Thadou Cultural Festival – 2016.
The six member team of TSA-GHQ from India was led by its Secretary General, Pu James Haokip. After a short round of introductions to all the members and short speeches from all, it was hereby unanimously adopted with the following resolutions:-
1. Thadous in Burma had assured that they definitely will participate in the upcoming Thadou Cultural Festival – 2016 which will be held on 6th – 8th April, 2016 at Ngahmun, Sadar Hills, Manipur.
2. TSO & TCL&CC will hold another round of public meeting and will soon give the lists of confirm participants for the Cultural festival, latest by January end.
3. All authorizations/endorsement/permissions/necessary documentations from the govt. of India/Manipur for the willing participants will solely be the responsibilities of Festival Committee.
