A unique dance form persisting through tradition as part of the youth
culture of Moneypoor oh! I mean Manipur. An expression in which our
community perceives life and the world in general.
A celebration in
which
we dance, hands n’feet synchronized, smiles lingering on intensely
passionate faces with the rhythmic beat of the dhol filling up the air.
Thabal Night recently held on the special occasion of Ningol Chakouba
at
Bangalore aims to encourage and stimulate youth culture to bring peace,
love & harmony towards life.
There are people in all their splendid diversity! There is only one
common
characteristic of a thabal-goer; they understand that thabal offers an
opportunity to dance n’ interact with all kinds of people, of all ages,
backgrounds, lifestyles, faiths, concepts of fashion (or lack of it),
nevertheless the vibe is generally mellow and friendly.
There is so
much
to see! No two people’s experience will be the same unless they’re tied
together.
There will be moments when you ask yourself the inevitable
“Why can’t life always be like this?”
There will be enlightenments, awakenings, surreal happenings, people
dancing with the rhythm with immense joy and laughter creating a
positive
vibration which makes you feel great with a sense of being oneness,
some
doing the strangest things and you’ll be wondering whether they were
booked to do this as an act or whether that’s just how they feel
happiest
being…..
Thabal is really a celebration of life and a very important fact that
what
is learned in one generation is passed on to successive generations.
Come as you are, as a friend, as a trend, as an old memoria…
Come in peace, spread the vibe with love where each can learn from the
other while respecting everyone’s unique individuality and you will
have
the very best time enjoying here and now.
Until next year.
