The Telegraph | Robert Sapam | Imphal, March 5:
Tata Trusts is contemplating setting up a centre of excellence in the Northeast to groom young footballers and elevate the standard of Indian football. This was divulged by Tata Trusts and U Dream Football programme manager Brijender Singh Anand during a field visit to the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA)'s three-month grassroots development programme at the artificial turf, Khuman Lampak, here yesterday.
"We have an association with various development programmes in the Northeast. We have selected 35 boys, including 15 from Manipur, in the under-15 age group to attend a six-year advance football training programme at Hoffenheim Academy in Germany under the Tata Trusts U Dream Football programme," Anand said.
