A one day Special Outreach Programme on Swachhta Action Plan was organized by the Field Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Imphal at Nongpok Sanjenbam, Imphal East district today. Smt. Angom (O) Jamini Devi, Tellou Chana Seijang, Zilla Parishad, Imphal East and Shri Moirangthem Ningthem, Pradhan, Takhel Gram Panchayat were the chief guest and president of the occasion. Shri A. Jiten Singh, M. Sanatomba, and Y Surjit, PRI Members Ward No. 6, 7 and 8 respectively were guests of honour.
In her speech, Smt. Angom (O) Jamini Devi, Tellou Chana Seijang, Zilla Parishad, Imphal East said that PRI and general public should cooperate and coordinate with such awareness programmes as it is for the benefit of the villagers.
Speaking on the occasion as resource person, Shri RK Somio, State Coordinator, Communication & Capacity Development(CCDU), Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India, Imphal explained elaborately on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan along with audio-visual presentation.
Shri M. Pahari Singh, Advisor, Langei Project, Sanjenbam, Shri Y. Meghachandra Singh, Assistant Engineer, PHED, Imphal East, Shri. L. Bishorjit Singh, Section Officer, PHED, Imphal East District, Shri T. Mangi Meitei, secretary, Sanjenbam Khunou, weavers, students, farmers attended the event. A quiz competition was also held on the same theme. The prizes were given away by the dignitaries.
