'Swachh Hi Sewa' in Rono Hills by RGU and NDRF
The NSS Cell and Department of Physical Education have organized a 'Swachhta Hi Sewa' campaign in collaboration with the 12th Battalion National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Doimukh at RGU Campus on the theme 'Clean and Green Campus' on 9th December 2017.
The event began with a welcome speech by Dr Vivek Singh, he thanks, Mr A. Kiran Chand Singh, Commandant of 12th Battalion NDRF, Doimukh for their valuable services to the University.
Prof. A. K. Das wholehearted welcome and appreciate the NDRF team for their goodwills. He also stressed that such activities will also motivate and encourage RGU fraternity to keep the campus clean and hygienic.
Mr Arun Deogam, 2nd In-Command also highlighted the objectives and important aspects of cleanliness drive by NDRF in his short speech. The NDRF team was also led by P. Nupajao Singh, Dy Commandant, I. Somendro Asstt. Commandant, Sanjay Prasad Sharma Asstt. Commandant with 10 SO and 200 NDRF.

NSS volunteers and faculty members also participated the programme very enthusiastically. Meanwhile, Prof. Tamo Mibang VC and Prof. Tomo Riba came to witness the events and encourage the whole team for the efforts.
This programme was led by John G. Gangmei Programme Officer of NSS Cell, RGU with the Head of Physical Education, Dr Anil Milli and Dr. Rojeet. The programme was very participatory and successful.
