State will have role in Naga peace talks
Nagaland Post | Agencies | Guwahati, Jun 21 (
In what is going to give a new dimension to the ongoing 18-year-old peace talks in Nagaland, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given his nod to reverse the “historical blunders” and “unconstitutional acts” of the Home Ministry, which through an executive order in 2005-06 had debarred the state government from intervening into any law and order issue concerning the NSCN in the state, The Asian Age report stated.
Ravi, when contacted by this newspaper, said, “The focus of the Centre has been to reverse all those mistakes that have been dragging the peace-talks since 1997 without any solution.” He asserted that solution of the Naga peace talks was not possible without the pro-active and transparent involvement of all the stakeholders.
