St. Stephen's College Delhi set to have North Eastern Society

Delhi’s St. Stephen’s College Delhi, one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges for arts and sciences in India, is all set to constitute a society for the Northeastern people. The initiative to set up St. Stephen’s North Eastern Society was related with spearheading in clearing the misconception that prevails in the mainland India about people from this region (Northeast), said principal of the college Rev Dr Valson Thampu.
Informing that students from his college were serving in Manipur with great distinction and devotion, Thampu said that he was happy to leant this and urged the students passed out from St. Stephen’s College to take a responsible initiative in shaping the society.
