Something is wrong somewhere
H Ranjita *
My husband, who's in the army
And I, went to a shopping mall
To buy some household stuffs.
It was in Delhi, our National Capital.
We hardly picked the vegetable
When the salesman asked with curiosity,
'Things are cheaper in India or China?'
My husband gave me a quick look and smiled
Before giving the reply to the satisfaction of the man,
'My friend, things are cheaper in India.'
Wonder what my husband would have felt
When he goes back to the Indo-Chinese border
To guard us day and night ...
I guess, something is wrong somewhere
