I have the utmost respect for AIR Imphal, Manipur that continues to provide a huge space (in all sphere) to the entire people of Manipur since very long time, if I cannot say 'time immemorial' here, but definitely older than me for sure. For some people 'Radio konba sanjao loiba' like me, radio has been part of my life. Therefore, (I guess) I have the right (albeit I am not sure to whom I should seek permission) to comment something on the recently introduced programs like, 'Good Morning Manipur', a hasty five-minute discussion on the entire issues of Manipur by one single person on ayuki taret makhaigi pao etc. etc. and etc.
To start with a very 'Good Morning Manipur' program, "Hello Good Morning ichema/tamo….(haibiyu takpiyu adomgi pendaba nungaitaba Good Morning Manipurni), aaaa.. eikhoi somgi lambise yaam yaadre, electric post su tek,e...."
Well, Manipur may be full of tekpa kaiba or huranba, but is 'Ichema' or 'Tamo' a right person to solve this tekpa-kaiba? Or, are they authorized to respond to the grievances put up by the common people like me on behalf of some government's Department?
'isei simatang taminasi.....' Well, the isei – the Mr. songs are melodious. I am loving it. But my intention to ring up AIR Imphal's telephone number or precisely to 'Good Morning Manipur' program was not to listen to 'iseis'. I am not sure whether the intention on 'Good Morning Manipur's program is – 'iseisi taaraga adomgi asao khambi kokhanbiyu' or those iseis has everything in it. Not sure bhai....
To suggest on this very program, that if, 'Good Morning Manipur's' phone calls are transferred to the concern department and if the calls are answered by the particular department's spokespersons or, 'if', those concern department's spokespersons are invited at the Imphal Radio Station (ngasina electricity dept. ki, aduga hayengna PWD gi.....), that thirty-forty minutes would be more fruitful, I believe. Aduga iseisu taasi ha.
Coming to the five-minute discussion on the entire issues of Manipur by one single person (expert) on ayuki taret makhai gi pao, I must say that this is utter 'laan laaktaure chellhaurase...' Beside, a political analyst or an anthropologist would also talk on 'pure science' or 'sports' in that five long minute discussion. That's not the fault of resource person's I guess. Because there are no other resource persons invited to respond to that sports or pure science questions. I an not sure whether it is something like - 'hera hekta yaahallasi se' or something else..
And I don't know how meager is the budget AIR Imphal has to organize a 'Manipur gidamak yaifanaba' discussion program for at least twenty minute on that taret makhai pao gi program or to invite some more resource persons who are known to their field.
Aduga amuka laibak thibadi, within that very ten short minutes of pung taret makhaigi news hour, there was an advertisement for poisonous herbicide/pesticide 'fangbiragani fangbiragani mapaangal kallaba lau hidak...' I am farmer; my parents were farmer and theirs too. I eat what I grow. So I won't suggest anybody to use those substances at their farms that would cause dangerous, particularly 'cancerous' disease that would cost much to the economy of Manipur in the long run. How on earth such an advertisements are allowed to telecast??
Hey, don't get me wrong with those people who only know how to complain. No please.., I love most of the programs of AIR Imphal and I will continue to do my part. I mean it. I don't mind people called as a big time "Radio konba sanjao loiba" (by some of my good friends).
Lastly, I am also aware that AIR Imphal has improved a lot since I began to become a big fan of AIR Imphal. Change is the law of nature. So let the change be prevail, change for the good, for the good of the people of Manipur.
These are some of my pure suggestion not an advice. Wow! Ngasigidi matang swaisida loisanjanaba yathang nijari, pinabirasi....
