“SINNAITHEL-Academy for Manipuri Culture” has been launched in Dhaka yesterday on the “International Mother Language Day” 21st February, 2014 with a view to educating the Manipuri language, culture and its scripts. This academy is created and founded by “Shilleikon”-A Creative Centre; Executed by Taorem Robin. A discussion meeting was held on language and its culture as well.
Hundreds of Manipuri people were attending and standing on one minute silence to show deep respect to the language martyrs who sacrificed their life on this day in 1952 before commencement the program. Keshor Babu Singha was the program convener and delivered welcome address. The entire program is operated by Chandrajit Singha.
Chief Guest Mr. Kongkham Nilmani Singha, Joint Secretary Ministry of Land, Government of Bangladesh and Thongam Dhiren, Manipuri writer & language Trainer was speaking on discussion session. Shukha Singha and Chongtham Bablu also had given speech on behalf of the parents and language trainee.

Discussion session was concluded by program chairperson Mr. Taorem Robin (Owner & Founder for “Shilleikon”-A Creative Centre). Afterward SINNAITHEL was formally launched by the pronouncing the Manipuri alphabet of all participants.
Initially TOT for Manipuri language trainee has been arranged from 21st February to end of the February. Language teaching for Manipuri young generation and students will be started from 28th February on Friday weekend only and will be continued.
