Sharmila visits rival territory for support

Rights crusader Irom Sharmila has dared to tread where other candidates fear to go. She entered rival camps, solicited votes and blew a whistle, seeking attention to her "fight for justice" as she toured Thoubal constituency today while polling was in progress.
She, along with her supporters, made a round of the polling stations in a three-vehicle convoy to ensure that everything went smoothly. She is contesting from Thoubal against three-time chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh (Congress).
