Aug 23 Senapati declaration: Naga Hoho snubs its president
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Aug 28 (NPN
Naga Hoho (NH) through its general secretary, Mutsikhoyo Yhobuh and information and publicity secretary C. Daipao Tuesday clarified that joint declaration signed by NH president Chuba Ozukum along with the United Naga Council (UNC) on August 23 at Senapati, was a “unilateral decision” of Ozukum, without discussing with the executive council nor the Federal Assembly of Naga Hoho.
NH affirmed to continue “to uphold the solidarity and unity of the Nagas and defend the rights of the Nagas in politics for securing lasting peace in our land as enshrined in our Yezabo.” It however said that intimidation or ostracization of certain section of people as contained in the declaration were contrarian views of the Naga Hoho to achieve peace.
