Call for Papers for Two Day National Seminar on
"Transforming Higher Education in North East India"
Thoubal College, Thoubal in collaboration with Y.K. College, Wanjing and Federation of Government College Teachers' Associations, Manipur (FEGOCTA) is organizing a Two Day National Seminar on "Transforming Higher Education in North East India" on 8-9 May, 2015.
The sub-themes of the seminar with the focus on North East India are
(1) Socio-Economic and Political Environment and Higher Education,
(2) Higher Education Governance,
(3) Autonomy of Higher Educational Institutions,
(4) Bureaucratic Control and Political Interference,
(5) Financing Higher Education,
(6) Implementation of UGC Regulations,
(7) Bridging the Gaps between North East Region and India & Global Standards,
(8) Reducing Gaps between Urban and Rural/Hill Areas in the Region,
(9) Bridging the Gender Gaps in Higher Education,
(10) Courses, Curriculum, Issues of Identity and Higher Education and
(11) Traditional Knowledge and Higher Education.
The research papers based on empirical data from multi-disciplinary perspectives for adopting innovative policy for higher education in North East for national parity and global competency are invited.
Abstracts of the papers upto 350 words will be accepted by 25 April, 2015, the confirmation of the accepted papers by 27 April, 2015 and the full papers upto 3500 words to be submitted latest by 5 May, 2015.
