Boxer Laishram Sarita's refusal to accept the bronze medal at the Incheon Asian Games is being viewed by many as a right gesture for the injustice done to her.
"My daughter has taken the right step. She is a brave girl and I wholeheartedly appreciate her courage to turn down the medal. She was robbed of her chance to win by corrupt judges in the semifinal," said Sarita's mother Laishram Khomdonbi on Wednesday.
