Sadar Hills dist demand: 3 Cong MLAs including a minister threaten to quit

A report appeared in Eimi Times, a bi-lingual daily in Thadou-Kuki and English in its October 6 (2015) edition, it said that three legislators of ruling Congress in Manipur including an incumbent minister have reportedly threatened to tender resignation from their being members of the Manipur Legislative Assembly if government further delayed in the declaration of Sadar Hills as a full-fledged district.
They reportedly set deadline to put their resignation on November 2, 2015. Mention may be made that a committee of civil organizations based in Sadar Hills have set October 15, 2015 deadline to them to realize the long pending demand of the people.
The report said that the three legislators from Sadar Hills area of Senapati district, Yamthong Haokip of Saikul AC, Nemcha Kipgen of Kangpokpi AC and Ngamthang Haokip of Saitu AC who is also minister for IFCD have submitted separate letters threatening to resign....
