Sadananda Gowda to address northeast students on Loitam Richard murder
Times of India | TNN | May 7, 2012, 10.59PM IST
Amid the growing movement demanding justice for Loitam Richard, Karnataka chief minister Sadananda Gowda said that he will address northeastern students in Karnataka on the case and its ramifications in the next couple of days. Gowda gave his assurance to Manipur's CPI secretary M Nara Singh on Monday.
The announcement came a couple of days after chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh met Gowda in New Delhi on the sidelines of the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) meeting and urged him to bring Richard's killers to justice.
Nara Singh told TOI he also submitted a memorandum along with photographs related to the incident to Gowda. The dossiers were submitted by Richard's father, he said, adding that the CM assured him of swift action.
