SMART planning for Career

We often use the word 'smart'. When it comes to planning or career we elaborate it and think it in abbreviated way. In this way it can be well explained as Specific, Measurable, Achievable/ Attainable, Realistic and Timely. Now many of us are confused with our career and the same would happen when it comes to choose after passing class XII.

It's time to have a SMART plan or our aims and objectives needs to be SMART if we want to achieve success in life. It is not only the way but one of the helpful if we plan well. Our planning needs to be specific and we need to know where it leads us.

Measurable means it would help us in measuring our progress and success related to our plan or aims and objectives. We need to think according to our strengths and weaknesses.

A good SWOT analysis is always important and crucial for us when we are choosing our career path. One of the most important factors is the time.

Whatever planning we make, we must make sure that we follow time and make the plan so that we can achieve it within a time period. To measure the progress and success we can keep some indicator.

A SMART planning may not be the only way to be successful but it certainly helps one to reach towards goals.

Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry- JIPMER MBBS Entrance : Commencement of On-line registration starts from 2nd March and date of the entrance test is 7th June and course would commence from July.

LSAT—India is designed to measure skills that are considered essential for success in law school – critical-thinking skills, such as logical reasoning and problem solving. These skills are considered as key to success in the practice of law throughout the world. Registration closes on 1stMay and test would be held on 17th May.

NERIST (North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology) Entrance Examination (NEE I, II, III) 2015—Applications on prescribed forms are invited from eligible candidates for admission in Base (Certificate), Diploma and Degree Modules at NERIST in the Technology/Engineering and Forestry streams.

Application Form cum Information Brochure is available from January 8th, 2015 and last date for the receipt of filled in application forms February 27th, 2015.

Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha: MBBS Course 2015—Applications are invited on prescribed form for admission to MBBS course starting from 1st July 2015. The candidates shall be selected as per their merit in the Entrance Examination to be held at Nagpur, Delhi, Hyderabad Mumbai, Varanasi & Kolkata.

Army Institute of Fashion and Design: Written Admission Test (WAT) 2015-The Written Admission Test (WAT) 2015 for admission to the UG Course offered by the AIFD Bangalore will be held on 18 April 2015 1430 to 1730 hrs at notified examination centers. Last date of receiving of application is 16th March.

National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology - Joint Entrance Examination 2015 : National Council for Hotel Management shall hold all India Joint Entrance Examination on 25th April, 2015 for admission to 1st Year of 3-Year B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration in the affiliated Institute of Hotel Management for the 2015 -16 academic session.

National Law University, Delhi Entrance 2015: Last date for receipt of completed applications is April 7th, 2015 and date of admission Test is May 3rd, 2015. The National Law University, Delhi established in 2008 invites applications for a Five year integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), LLM degree programme for the academic year 2015-2016 commencing from Aug, 2015.
