Rs 1,00,000 cr for road network in NE

The Government of India has chalked out an ambitious plan to invest one lakh crore rupees over a period of five years for improvement of road communication in the entire north-eastern region and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways started holding workshops for all the stakeholders from today.
Today the workshop was inaugurated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in the city and the main objective is to engage all the stakeholders including the state governments, technocrats, contractors, skilled labourers etc, in the process of improvement of the road transport network in the region.
