Rio lecture on Nagas also promotes 'incredible India' at QU, Belfast

Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio has said as the desire of Naga people, both underground and overground today was for peace and development, they realized that the ongoing peace process and political dialogues were the best options available which ought to be made best use of rather than “cry hoarse over lost opportunities.”
Delivering a talk on the topic “Governance and Conflict-the Naga context” at Queen’s University Belfast (N. Ireland) on October 17, Rio also became the first chief minister of Nagaland to deliver a lecture at an international university in the UK, stated a press communiqué issued by press secretary to the chief minister Abu Metha.
Rio highlighted the history of the Naga political movement from the time the British arrived in Naga areas to the present state of cease fire.
Rio also mentioned about Naga demand for integration of all Naga contiguous, for which the Nagaland assembly had unanimously passed four resolutions in favour and condition and status of Nagas in Burma.
