Richard Loitam 'murder : Manipur cop to aid Karnataka

The Manipur government has decided to send a police officer of not less than the rank of superintendent of police (SP) to Bangaluru to help Karnataka government investigate into the alleged murder of Manipur student Richard Loitam.
Home minister G Gaikhangam announced the decision after a cabinet meeting of the Ibobi Singh-led Congress government on Wednesday.
Earlier, Karantaka chief minister Sadanada Gowda, in the wake of nationwide protest against the alleged murder of Richard, had ordered his police department to file a proper FIR and take the matter seriously.
