Richard Loitam death: FSL report complicates case
CNN - IBN | May 03, 2012 at 10:42pm IST, Bangalore
The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has submitted its report on Manipur student Richard Loitam, who was found dead in Bangalore. It ruled out allegations that Richard died of a drug overdose, but remained inconclusive on the possible cause of his death.
Sixteen days after Loitam's death it's still unclear as to what caused the first year architecture student's death. The FSL report says, "The forensic team is not convinced that the wounds on Richard's body were fatal enough to kill him. No traces of drugs were found in his blood, thus ruling a drug overdose."
The Bangalore rural police have now handed over the FSL report to the forensic team at the Government Victoria hospital. A detailed pathological report is expected to come out in the next seven days.
