ESRC/DFID joint call on Research on International Development: "Poverty Alleviation"

The UK's Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Department for International Development (DFID) have announced their second round of funding for their research programme on Poverty Alleviation. Applications are invited for projects with a value of between £100,000 and £500,000.
This call is open to Indian based academics and researchers.

To help academics and researchers apply to the ESRC/DFID program, two regional workshops (Delhi and Bangalore) are being held in August as per details below.
Bangalore Workshop: 9th August, Monday, at NAIS from 1300 to 1630 hours
Delhi workshop: 19th August, Thursday at JNU from 1300 to 1630 hours.

v Development in a Changing World: the challenge for theory, policy and action
v Inequality and Development
The deadline for applications: 16:00 UK time (20:30 Indian time) on 30th September 2010
