Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL), a Central PSU is implementing a Rs. 5,460 Crore project to set up a 280,000 TPA petrochemical plant at Lepetkata in Distt. Dibrugarh, Assam. BCPL is looking for Graduate Engineers Trainees(GET)/Executive Trainees(ET) in the disciplines of Mechanical(01), Electrical(02), Chemical(03), Instrumentation(04), Civil(05), IT(06), HR (11), Finance(12), C&P(13), PR/CC (08) and Company Secretary(38)

1. 'Note: Candidates who have appeared in their final year or whose results are awaited can also apply.

HOW TO APPLY

(i)Applications should be submitted strictly 'ON-LINE' by logging on to BCPL Web site www.emodeapply.com/BCPL . Applications will not be accepted by any other mode. The web site will be kept open from 10.00hours on 21.01.2009 to 10.02.2009 till 1700 hrs which will be the last date for applying on line.

(ii) Candidates are allowed to apply only once and application once submitted cannot be altered under any circumstances.

(iii) A candidate can apply for one post only. Candidates applying for more than one post will not be considered.

(iv) Candidates are required to possess an E-mail ID valid for at least one year which is compulsorily to be entered in the on line application form. All correspondence with candidates shall be done through E-mail only. All information regarding written examination schedule/admit cards/interview call letters etc. shall be provided through E mail to the candidates found apparently eligible based on the on line data. Responsibilities of receiving, downloading and printing of admit card etc. will be on the candidate. BCPL will not be responsible for bouncing of any E-MAIL sent to the candidates. However, from time to time necessary information will be hosted on BCPL Web site.

(v) Internal Candidates and Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PH category are exempted from Application fee, all other candidates are required to pay a non refundable application fee in the form of a Demand Draft of Rs.200/-(Rupees Two Hundred Only) drawn in favour of 'Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited' payable at 'Dibrugarh' , Assam, in order to register their application online.

(vi) General and OBC candidates should have their Demand Draft (DD) ready while applying online, as the DD details would also be required to be entered in the online application. Without the DD details data will not be registered.

(Vii) On registering the application on line, the candidates may download the Computer Generated Reference Number and send a hard copy thereof along With testimonials with regard to proof of age, qualification, caste/class and the Demand Draft(in case of General/ OBC candidates) to The Advertiser, Post Box No.- 9248, Krishna Nagar Head Post Office, New Delhi-110051so as to reach us by 17.02.2009. Name and application reference number may please be written at the back of the Demand Draft. In case of any difficulty, mail us at '[email protected]' .

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Short-listed candidates will be called for competitive written examination. Instructions regarding examination will be intimated to the short-listed/eligible candidates individually as mentioned above. Candidates short-listed based on the performance in the written examination will be called for personal interview. Candidates will have to make their own arrangements for attending the test and no traveling allowance will be paid. However, Candidates, attending for Personal Interview will be paid Traveling Allowance as per rules.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. All qualifications must be from UGC recognized university/Deemed University or AICTE approved autonomous institution (wherever applicable). The courses offered by autonomous institutions should be equivalent to the relevant course approved/recognized by Associations of Indian Universities (AIU).

2. Relaxation in percentage of marks will apply for OBC and SC/ST candidates. Accordingly, the percentage of marks required will be 55% in case of OBC and 50% in case of SC/ST. Wherever CGPA/OGPA or letter grade in a degree is awarded, equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the application as per norms adopted by University/institutes.

3. Applicants who are expecting their final year results by 30th June 2009, can also apply, provided they have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate up to last semester (55% in case of OBC & 50% in case of SC/ST). Wherever CGPA/OGPA or letter grade in a degree is awarded, equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the application as per norm adopted by university/institutes.

4. The upper age limit is 26 years as on 31st Dec 2008 [ relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer), 10 years for Physically Challenged-General, 13 years for PH-OBC and 15 years for PH-SC/ST candidates. The upper age is also relax able by 5 years for candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir between 1.1.1980 and 31.12.1989. In case of Ex-Servicemen who have put in not less than six months\' continuous service in the Armed Forces of the union, they shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed by more than 3 years the maximum age limit prescribed for the posts/services for which a candidate seeks appointment, he/she shall be deemed to satisfy the conditions regarding the age limit.

5. Selected candidates will be placed under training for a period of one year at a consolidated stipend of Rs. 17, 500/- per month and other benefits like Bachelor accommodation, Telephone reimbursement etc. On successful completion of their training they will be placed in the pay scale as may be decided, with one year probation.

6. In order to save the data entered, applicants should click on the 'Submit' button and then print the registration slip.

7. Request for change of Mailing address, category as declared in the on line application by the candidates will not be entertained.

8. Reservations/relaxations for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates will apply as per Government directives. The OBC candidates who belong to 'CREAMY LAYER' are not entitled for OBC concession and such candidates have to indicate their category as 'General'.

9. The candidates employed in Govt. Department/PSU/Autonomous Bodies have to produce NOC at the time of interview failing which they would not be interviewed nor paid TA.

10. Candidature of the registered candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process or after recruitment or joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or is not found in conformity with eligibility criterion mentioned in the advertisement.

11. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified for test/interview. In case the applicant does not receive any communication within 90 days from the date of publication of this advertisement/written test, it may be presumed that he/she was not shortlisted for test/interview.

12. BCPL reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards and / or relax age criterion in otherwise suitable cases. Competent Authority reserves the right to fill or not to fill all or any of the above positions without assigning any reason whatsoever.

13. Any canvassing directly or indirectly by the applicant will disqualify his /her candidature. Any dispute with regard to recruitment against this advertisement will be settled within the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only. BCPL shall not be responsible for any postal delay. No request in this regard will be entertained.
