Rejoinder to NDPP from NPF
Kohima, 5th Sept 2018
Like summer heat rising up to engulf the globe, the NDPP is seemingly upped to go hammer and tongs after Opposition Party for every press statement that it can not digest. What’s more? It is hellbent to steal media limelight on daily basis whilst failing to get down itself with serious work.
The Naga People’s Front is constrained to issue this press rejoinder regarding the contents of NDPP’s statement published on Sept 5, which is crystal clear that the ruling government under Neiphiu Rio is utterly disillusioned with no priorities for economic development other than grappling and mumbling words of frustration in media. We understand the shaky position of minority-led government and cracks that are emerging gradually within the coalition. The heyday of NDPP led government is numbered which is for everyone to easy guess.
Instead of wasting up calories and going ballistic in paper-war, it is advised to use valuable energy on developmental fronts in the interests of the general public.
Of late, Chief Minister Neiphui Rio in his speech at the 74th Khonoma Rupfüno Anniversary at Khonoma village said that development of the state was hampered because of disunity amongst the Nagas. Unity or disunity is related to Naga political issue only and not related to State development. The government should not throw the blame for its failure on development upon the people.
One fails to understand why NDPP called the opposition NPF as ‘people centric’ through media while they proved themselves as ‘eccentric’ with self-publicity.
Needless to point out the failure of the NDPP Chief who also holds the finance portfolio commitment to the people during the last budget speech in the Assembly that the PDA Government will complete the repairing roads in the state particularly the district headquarters in 30, 60, 100 days. However, the public is the best witness, whether such commitment from the Chief Minister’s mouth bear any fruits or not.
The world knows that they were the run-away group of else whilst corrupt NPF leaders. Time and again, the NDPP has been performing boring rituals of raking up old issue on TR Zeliang’s educational qualification. The case has been already settled by the hon’ble court. Despite this fact, the NDPP is trying to resurrect the issue which only shows their desperation that TR Zeliang is the chief minister in waiting.
They know that TR will take over the moment PDA government falls which is very imminent. They don’t have any programme for the people than to only raise the certificate issue in all their press statements. They should instead come clean on Neiphui Rio’s B.A honors fake affidavit certificate.
NDPP terming the NPF as ‘irrelevant’ and PDA regime as ‘progressive’ is the most hilarious, wriggling every reader’s tummy. Infact, PDA regime is progressing ‘backward’ with instability and failed responsibility, while NPF is becoming more ‘relevant’ as a very formidable force in the house of 60, playing a constructive role successfully and effectively. They remain as the watchdog to which ruling group is always afraid of.
As a piece of advice to the ruling government that it is not enough just to talk in media with their honey lips but get involve in real job. The BJP as your mentor would tell you….”Kaam Zyada, Baatein Kum.”
