MNP rejects Nagaland MP’s interference and questions Manipur’s 3 MPs to wake up
MNP (Meitei Nationalist Party) strongly condemns and rejects the interference of Nagaland’s MP (Member of Parliament) in Lok Sabha Mr. Neiphio Rio in the affairs of Manipur for his writing to the Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi urging Modi not to give his consent to the three bills, meant for the protection of Manipur, passed recently by Manipur Assembly. The matter is already reported on Assam Times and North East Today.
The action of Mr. Rio, whose party is an ally of BJP in Union Government of India, is a clear indication that BJP is using its own political partner to ensure not to convert the 3 Manipur bills into an act.
In this context, MNP asks BJP Manipur to clarify whether BJP Manipur will urge, in writing and not merely verbally, Prime Minister Modi to pass the bills for the Presidential assent or BJP Manipur will simply follow what BJP Union Government in New Delhi decides on the bills, even to the extent of stopping the bills from becoming an act.
Should not the people of Manipur believe that what BJP Manipur wants on the 3 Manipur bills is also the same that BJP in New Delhi wants or is the vice-versa, meaning that what BJP in New Delhi wants is the same as BJP Manipur wants, to be believed?
The party further condemns the deliberate and stoic silence of the present 3 MPs (2 MPs in Lok Sabha and 1 MP in Rajya Sabha) of Indian National Congress Party from Manipur.
The party questions that what stops the 3 Congress MPs from collectively and unitedly urging, in writing and meeting the Prime Minister in person, the Prime Minister to clear the 3 Manipur bills from Union Home Ministry in order to be passed to Rashtrapati ji for his assent.
MNP warns MPs or political leaders of any other state to stop their unnecessary political interference in the internal affairs of Manipur. MNP also reminds all the 3 Congress MPs from Manipur to wake up from their dogmatic slumber and proactively counter their counterparts in New Delhi.
