Rani Gaidinliu remembered on her 100th anniv

Freedom fighter Rani Gaidinliu was Monday remembered on her 100th birth anniversary at a function held at Congress Bhavan, Imphal. The function was organized by Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee at the party office. Party members along with deputy chief minister Gaikhangam offered floral tribute to the late freedom fighter.
On the occasion, Gaikhangam said it was a great pride for the people of Manipur that government of India was releasing coins denoting Rani Gaidinliu. The denominations of coins of Rs 100 and Rs 5 were being released Monday by the Union government to commemorate the birth centenary of Rani Gaidinliu.
