NHPC Raising day Celebration at Loktak Power Station
Loktak Power Station celebrated 44th NHPC Raising day on 21st November 2018 at Powerhouse, Leimatak. Shri Amitabh Srivastav, General Manager (I/c), Loktak Power Station graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Amitabh Srivastav congratulated all employees for being awarded as Best Rated Power Station (under Peak Power Station Category) as part of NHPC Award Scheme FY 2017-18.
Last year, Loktak PS has achieved generation of 837.76 MU as against 741.10 MU in FY 2016-17. On this achievement, he praised all employees for their outstanding efforts. He said that Loktak Power Station successfully conducted BEE-State Level Painting Competition-2018 at Raj Bhavan, Manipur by increasing the number of students participated by 339 % and the number of schools participated by 600 % when compared to last year wherein Hon’ble Governor of Manipur Dr. Najma A. Heptulla was the Chief Guest.
In BEE-National Level Painting Competition-2017, Manipur bagged five awards at national level including Best Nodal Officer from Loktak Power Station. He wished to repeat this feat this year also. He also appealed to the all employees to act collectively to achieve many more milestones in days to come.

In briefing CSR& SD achievements of Loktak Power Station, he said that power station is conducting free cataract operations in collaboration with SHRI Imphal and distributing free medicines as part of CSR& SD and also sponsoring various sports tournaments to encourage local talent in sports.
He also added that power station is promoting the educational and skill development activities and creating infrastructure facilities for the local people. This was followed by cultural programmes by Kendriya Vidyalaya, Loktak and by local artists.
In the end, prizes were distributed to all the winners of games conducted as part of celebrations.
