I had a long series of thinking late into the night and early under the fading dawn - all some how I could come out with my conclusion.
"Our history will be what we make it. If we go on as we are, history 'll take revenge". In the past 50 years, our Naga society
enjoy a prosperous and meaningful life but today like the Indian society number of sub-division, caste and communalism has risen.
Where the poor remained poorer and poorer and rich; richer and richer. Placing the poor people on one side and the rich remained the other.
It seems that there is no place for poor people to stand in the society. They were ex-communicate and exile from the rest of the society.
Where many live their life begging from rich to get each day meal? They have no option out of their fragile health either they go to
work or starve themselves at home.
Where many parent were unable to send their children to get primary education. Which paved way for the out come of illiteracy.
This led to the division of educated and uneducated people. It greatly pollutes and brings chaos to the society, which influence to younger generation too.
Our short-sighted, selfish, power-hungry politician never pays heed for these children. Pouring out all their wealth to
well acquainted people.
Where the ordinary people take a hardship. Never realizing how our society suffers.
Their head were filled with development of roads and township. Placing the first priority to second and second to first.
I never meant these were bad it must and it should. If not who will? But they need to think deep and see how our society is functioning.
"Without the awareness of what is right and a desire to act according to what is right, there may be no realization of what is wrong".
As a sole leader, they must also stand firm and feel the necessities of the people.
Instead their heads were filled with corruption and greed, preparing only to gain him for next election. Entering politics is seen as an
opportunity to make money and to share the spoils with the favored.
Lips-service and double-talk has become the trademark of our politician.
Our society is in for a progressive decline in disciplines on all fronts. Liberty has become a license, for the rich and powerful.
New rules and regulation are made regularly. But they are meant to punish, not to encourage. Development fund are stolen, criminals
go unpunished, service are poor and teachers refuse to teach.
Journalists are hand-in-glove with the powerful and pompous. Money today has become the sole measure of success. We live in
a dog-eat-dog world, where we are selfishly occupied with our own selves.
"Jobs were on sale, Education on sale. Even tribe certificate are on sale. Starting from birth, right up to death, a citizen
contents with corruption at almost every level in public life, whether he need to procure a birth certificate or a death
certificate".
If the politician were keep looking and granting for relatives, good friends then this won't create a true figure of politician.
I should say they are more alike with the true followers of Christ. Where they should keep away all the thoughts of near and dear
one's and property, once they step down to work for people.
Opportunities say "whatever little bit I can do, I will do", concerned citizen say, "whatever it takes to do for the nation, I will do"
But many of our politicians lack this feeling.
Instead they build a multi-story building, driving luxurious car and living a royal life. To strive out life is tough and it'll be
greater risk in the future.
Before it is too late let us raise hand, take charge of our life and be in control of our destiny and lead the society.
"If we are not part of the solution then we are the problem". Let us put away all the pebbles and stone in the way to true society.
Let us join hands and create Naga society a better place where the worldwide get attracted and admire their healthy and well function body.
