Poetry in the Refugee Camp
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Radhakumar *
The left cerebral hemisphere
Is deep in conversation with his counterpart
The right cerebral hemisphere.
The left the champion of the poor
Talks about
Food, shelter and clothing.
'That's all.'
'Yes, that's all.'
'Don't contradict me.'
'As if I would!'
The right cerebral hemisphere is all smiles
And he says everyday living is not
Repeat is not
The be-all and end-all of one's existence.
He asks his friend
To look at the wonder of the rising sun.
