Physics Academy Programme in Don Bosco College, Tura

Physics Academy of North East (PANE) is going to organize a programme on Physics in Don Bosco College, Tura in Meghalaya on September 1, 2018. The programme is a collaborative venture of PANE, outreach education programme of IIT, Guwahati, Department of Physics and Alumni Association of Don Bosco College, Tura.
Prof. Saurabh Basu of IITG will deliver the PANE talk on this occasion on the topic 'A Tale of Superconductivity: The Indian Connection’.
Also there will be a scientific poster competition among students of different institutions with the theme ‘Use of Technology in energy conservation’. The latest issue of PANE e-newsletter edited by Dr. Subhaditya Bhattacharya will also be released on this occasion at DonBosco College.
It may be mentioned that PANE is an umbrella organization of different educational Institutes of North East including IITG and Gauhati University.
Don Bosco College, Tura, Meghalaya is located in sylvan surroundings, against the background of the imposing Tura peak and overlooking a vast expanse of hills, valleys, plains and rivers. The campus, with its breath-taking view, impressive buildings, pleasing layout, green lawns and shady trees, creates a congenial environment for study and relaxation.
