Petrol price reaches Rs. 200/ltr in Imphal

Price of petrol in black market has reached Rs 200 per litre after all the retail outlets have closed down following zero stock at IOC oil depots in Imphal. With petrol products not arriving from Assam’s Khatkati, IOC’s oil depots in Imphal dried up on Tuesday following which retail outlets had to down their shutters from today.
The UNC has been imposing an indefinite economic blockade on the national highways in Manipur since November 1 last. Following the stir, normal shipping of petroleum products into Manipur has been disturbing.
