People storm oil pumps as petrol arrives in Imphal

People Thursday stormed oil pumps across the city to make beeline queues to buy petrol barely a day after oil tankers arrived Imphal via national highway-37 (Imphal-Jiribam section).
People started queuing up in long lines in front of the pumps even before fuel stations opened with the hope that fuel may be distributed any time today.
Except two petrol tankers, a total of 110 vehicles including 24 petrol tankers, eight LPG bullets and one diesel tanker safely reached Imphal from Silchar along National Highway 37 Wednesday around 8 p.m.
